[This is] a blessed Book which We have revealed to you, [O Muhammad], that they might reflect upon its verses and that those of understanding would be reminded. 38:29

All praises are due to Allah the Lord of the worlds, Master, Creator and Ultimate Sustainer of the entire universe. Peace and salutations be upon the servant and messenger of Allah Muhammad (pbuh) the seal of the prophets.

WHO ARE WE?

Darul Quran is a non-profit organisation which provides Islamic Education for the local community.

INTENTION

Our intention is to bring people closer to Allah swt via the Quran.

  1. Love for the correct recitation and memorisation of the Quran
  2. A desire to understand the words of Allah swt
  3. Familiarise people with the sciences related to the Quran.

AIMS AND OBJECTIVES

To provide a facility for dedicated students to study the Islamic sciences.

  • Tajweed and Tahfeedh
  • Tafseer
  • Hadeeth
  • Seerah
  • Arabic Language
  • Fiqh and Aqeedah

Tajweed and Tahfeedh

Aim: To memorise parts of, or all of the Quran with the correct recitation.

What is tajweed? Tajweed refers to the manner in which the Quran is read, down to the pronunciation of each letter, so we may recite as the Prophet (saw) recited. Learning how to read the Quran correctly is an obligation for all Muslims. The ideal way in which to learn how to read with Tajweed is under the guidance of a qualified teacher so mistakes may be corrected and recitation improved and beautified.

Memorisation

Our prophet peace be upon him memorised the Quran from Allah swt via the angel jibraeel (as). Many of the Sahaba (ra) had memorised the entire Quran. Earlier Muslims were renowned for their great ability to memorise. They would compete with one another via long shakespeare-like eloquent poetry which they had to memory.

In the days of the muhadditheen a Haafiz was referred to as someone who had more than 100,000 Hadith to memory. Being a Haafiz of the Quran was seen as a basic requirement to enter the arenas of knowledge. Many scholars such as Imam Bukhari and Imam shafie (ra) memorised the Quran at a tender age.

In these times we are all so reliant on technology for our everyday necessities and for our deen, our Quran. Alhamdulillah, many of us are reconnecting with our deen via technology. However one thing which is lacking in many of us is memorisation of Quran.  Ask yourself If you are asked to lead salaah or are performing your own, which chapters/sections are you comfortable to recite from? Is your tilaawah as good as you would like it to be? Would you like to be able to recite longer chapters of the Quran thus lengthening the time you spend worshipping & conversing with Allah?

Darul Quran wants to bring back the passion and desire for memorising the words of Allah swt.

Quranic Sciences

If we want a better connection with our creator we need to at least try to understand the language of the Quran. We all know learning a language is achievable not to mention very rewarding. Some of us (in the UK) learnt French or an additional language at school with only one or two lessons a week.

If we truly want a better understanding we need to make time to attend regular classes to appreciate the Quranic sciences such as Tafseer, Hadeeth, Seerah and Fiqh.

Assisting in the service of the Quran

May Allah accept all of our efforts. Please remember us in your supplications and try to assist in any of our projects.

“And whatever good you spend is for yourselves, and you do not spend except seeking the countenance of Allah . And whatever you spend of good – it will be fully repaid to you, and you will not be wronged.” (2:275)
