Tajweed Classes for Sisters

Darul Quran was set up to help people learn and improve their Quranic recitation. Alhamdulillah, many sisters have benefitted from the expertise of our experienced and friendly teachers. We have students of all ages and abilities.

What is tajweed?

Tajweed refers to the manner in which the Quran is read, down to the pronunciation of each letter, so we may recite as the Prophet (saw) recited. Learning how to read the Quran correctly is an obligation for all Muslims.The ideal way in which to learn how to read with Tajweed is under the guidance of a qualified teacher so mistakes may be corrected and recitation improved and beautified.

Class times

Classes are available Monday’s, Tuesday’s and Wednesday’s from 10am-12pm term-time only.

Students can attend one or more classes subject to spaces being available.

Update: New classes available 

Alhamdulillah, due to demand further classes have started on Mondays and Tuesdays 10am-12pm.

There is also availability for evening classes from 7pm-8.30pm for students who work during the day.

Weekend classes

Saturdays 11-15am-12.45pm

Most of the students in these classes are beginners going through the Iqra books at different levels. Students can enrol at anytime for these classes.
